Through the Erasmus+ programme, our students and staff had the wonderful opportunity to take part in an unforgettable international experience in Italy, a significant milestone as our very first Erasmus+ exchange.
During their time abroad, students explored Lake Como, Milan, and Bergamo, creating lasting memories while broadening their horizons, forming new friendships, and gaining a deeper appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. Emelia, Archie, Louise, and Kacper represented the school exceptionally well and were a credit to us all.
As part of the programme, we had the pleasure of visiting Setificio – ISIS Paolo Carcano in Como, where we were warmly welcomed by staff and students. This visit was a truly enriching experience. Students from both schools delivered engaging presentations, sharing insights into their cultures, traditions, and daily life. It was fantastic to see such confidence, curiosity, and mutual respect on display.
We also had valuable discussions comparing the education systems in our respective countries, highlighting both our differences and the many shared goals we have. A tour of the school and the opportunity to experience lessons firsthand gave our students a real sense of learning beyond the classroom and strengthened their understanding of international collaboration.
Erasmus+ is built on key principles such as inclusion and diversity, intercultural understanding, active participation, and cooperation across borders. This visit truly embodied those values — encouraging open-mindedness, fostering friendships, and developing skills that extend far beyond academic knowledge.
A heartfelt thank you to our hosts for their warm hospitality and generosity. We look forward to continuing this wonderful partnership and creating even more opportunities for our students to grow and learn 🌍
